Camarones rebozados (Shrimps coated in batter)

The shrimps are an important part of some of the most delicious dishes in the peruvian food (do you remember the rice with shrimps, parihuela or shrimp cioppino?). You’ll ever make a good impression preparing shrimps, and as we want you to have a good image, we offer you this new recipe 😉 Enjoy it!


  • 1 kg (2.2 lb) of shrimps, cleaned and shelled
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • One cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt


Take a bowl and mix the flour, eggs, milk, butter, a little of vegetable oil, baking powder and salt using a fork.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Coat the shrimps with the mix and fry them.

Serve with mayonnaise.
